◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ BAND BIOGRAPHY & INFORMATION ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

Started in 2006 with an urge to grind, 54R is made up by members Marshal McAdams (vocals) & Jared Morgan (guitar, drums, & bass); Jared’s other bands also include: Draug, Filtheater, Immaculate Molestation, Ishimura, Ithaqua, Raum, Uzumaki, Yzordderrex, ex-Zombie Raiders, ex-Cosmic Atrophy. The two piece act is based in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

The band’s first official release was the “Votus” EP in 2009, followed up by split albums in 2010 and 2011; however, the aforementioned releases have become largely unavailable. The band instead offer up their 2011 EP “Bastard Ministry of the Cloven Hoof” as well as material from their split with Pornography, a fellow Mississippi band, released in February of 2012.

In August of the same year, the grind duo released their full length record "Fuck You And Then Some", which received rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Finally, their most recent release came in the form of a limited edition (of 50) split CD with Kamikaze Pilots; available for order through Bandcamp right now! Fans may also opt to purchase just the physical files rather than the CD, especially once it sells out of the 50 copies.

Truthseeker sert-il à Brendan James Hayter et Alex Fewell, deux artistes versés dans le death metal, d'excursion éphémère hors du sentier ? Je pose cette question parce que ce projet n'a eu le droit qu'à deux sorties : Weightless at Dawn que nous avons ici et Blue Oblivion sorti la même année — et depuis, rien. C'est bien dommage au vu de toutes les qualités réunies dans ce petit E.P. : bien que taillées dans un post-rock assez lent à tendances doom metal, c'est d'une légèreté exceptionnelle !
