⋘"Anxiously Awaiting The Apocalypse" comes from the "Rubble Of Progress EP" by Malfeasance (released by GIVE PRAISE RECORDS on March 26, 2012). This is the band's debut recording and serves as an ideal precursor to what will hopefully be a killer full length, to be released in 2013.⋙

"Malfeasance is a Grindcore/Blackened Crust band from Phoenix Arizona. Formed in 2010 and still trying to get our shit together. Thanks." Such reads the band bio/description from the official Facebook page. The only other information that's available about the band comes from the Give Praise Records Bandcamp site:
"Rubble Of Progress is our first EP and was recorded in about 6 hours on 2/1/12. It was recorded and mixed by Jirix-Mie Paz in Tempe AZ. This first EP is a collection of our earliest material that we wanted to get recorded so that we had something to put out there and hopefully garner some interest in the local scene. We have more material that has yet to be recorded but we are currently writing a full length and will likely save the other songs we have for that. Our influences in everything from Grindcore to Black Metal are present in this release, all strung together frantically and we are really happy with it. It's heavy, it's spastic and even at times melodic. We hope you like what you hear!"
So...there you have it. As far as SOCIOPATHIC SOUND is concerned, Malfeasance has piqued our interest. Blackened grind/crust, when executed effectively, is some of the best extreme music ever written (see: Anaal Nathrakh, among many others who have appeared on previous installments of the Mixtape Series, as well as other bands on this volume). If the material on this debut EP is "older" stuff that was recorded in a mere 6 hour session, then the band has a great deal of potential and I personally cannot wait to hear the full length debut.
