◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ BAND BIOGRAPHY & INFORMATION ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

Hungry Like Rakovitz take inspiration for the name of a weed-addict cannibal called Daniel Rakowitz (changing the W with a V). Formed in winter 2004 in Bergamo (Italy), dub themselves as a "grimecore" band.

A demo with L.G. Lorusso (ex-Ephel Duath) on vocals was recorded in 2006. The band underwent several changes in line-up until the end of 2008, finally ending up with a solid group of musicians:

Enrico (guitar), Tiziano (drums), Simone (bass) and Rubens (vocals).

The 2009 saw the release of their debut EP, "HolymosH", in 2011 they released "Evil Opus" a 7" split with O, working with a lot of underground labels.

In 2012 HLR appear on a compilation curated by Michele Giorgio for the unholy cvltnation.com and in June the band records the new album "The Cross is Not Enough" at Studio73 with Riccardo "Paso" Pasini (Ephel Duath, The Secret).

During the last two years the band had the pleasure to play a lot of shows, sharing the stage with bands like:

EYEHATEGOD (USA), BORIS (Japan), CHURCH OF MISERY (Japan), RUSSIAN CIRCLES (USA), FUCK THE FACTS (Canada), TOXIC HOLOCAUST (USA), SKELETON WITCH (USA), THE SECRET (Italy), GOATWHORE (USA), WORMROT (Malaysia), NESSERIA (FR)
and a lot of other great bands.

Truthseeker sert-il à Brendan James Hayter et Alex Fewell, deux artistes versés dans le death metal, d'excursion éphémère hors du sentier ? Je pose cette question parce que ce projet n'a eu le droit qu'à deux sorties : Weightless at Dawn que nous avons ici et Blue Oblivion sorti la même année — et depuis, rien. C'est bien dommage au vu de toutes les qualités réunies dans ce petit E.P. : bien que taillées dans un post-rock assez lent à tendances doom metal, c'est d'une légèreté exceptionnelle !
