Nevertheless, point being, every single song TREE OF WOE has offered up as an option is astounding, heavy as an 18-wheeler, and absolutely devastating. Let's keep our collective fingers crossed that they are able to put out a proper full length sooner than later!!!!⋙

Formed in Summer 2011 by Jeff Montoya (Catheter) and Keith Keeran (Grindscape), Tree Of Woe is rounded out by Chris Walters (Try Redemption) and Chris Forsythe (Malakai). All long time veterans of the Colorado music scene, Tree Of Woe was started with one mission in mind, obliterate everyone.

According to their Reverb Nation profile, the band had set an April 2012 release for their debut album "The Blacksheep Sessions", but it seems as though the album never saw the light of day; or, if it did, only locally in the Colorado area as it's nowhere else to be found.

A shame, really, considering how fucking awesome these guys are. Sociopathic Sound has had the privilege to acquire all of the demo/rough tracks from what was supposed to be their debut record and we can assure you, whenever the album DOES come out, it'll have been worth the wait!!!

Truthseeker sert-il à Brendan James Hayter et Alex Fewell, deux artistes versés dans le death metal, d'excursion éphémère hors du sentier ? Je pose cette question parce que ce projet n'a eu le droit qu'à deux sorties : Weightless at Dawn que nous avons ici et Blue Oblivion sorti la même année — et depuis, rien. C'est bien dommage au vu de toutes les qualités réunies dans ce petit E.P. : bien que taillées dans un post-rock assez lent à tendances doom metal, c'est d'une légèreté exceptionnelle !
