⋘Serving as the tenth track on Deuscastiga's debut record "I Am Alive Fucking Dead", we offer you "Scars" since it is a flawless representation of what this brutal, in-your-face band is all about. Rounding out the aforementioned debut full length are a total of 13 tracks (including "Scars").

The album came out in April of 2011 so it goes without saying fans of this style of grind/death metal/crust/black metal should expect new material from Deuscastiga in the near future; now, whether it's in the form of an EP, split, or full length is something only the band knows. What WE know is this band is one to be reckoned with; they truly fucking slay!!!!

Deus Castiga is a grindcore band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, started in 2006 by Thiago Paiva (Drums) and Rafael Parra (Guitar) only to test new sound equipment. But after 13 songs done, we noticed that it would be cool to have a complete band to play them. That’s when Paulo (Bass) and Anderson Ferracini (Vocal) joined the band in 2009 to breakout all the violence in CD "Im alive fucking dead".

With 13 tracks and bit more than 20 minutes, the CD is a mixture of almost everything that is possible to mix, from old and recent grindcore (Napalm death, Pig Destroyer, Nasum, Are You God?, Hutt and Japanische Kampfhoerspiele) with a pinch of Death Metal just like Cannibal Corpse and Black Dahlia Murder.

Truthseeker sert-il à Brendan James Hayter et Alex Fewell, deux artistes versés dans le death metal, d'excursion éphémère hors du sentier ? Je pose cette question parce que ce projet n'a eu le droit qu'à deux sorties : Weightless at Dawn que nous avons ici et Blue Oblivion sorti la même année — et depuis, rien. C'est bien dommage au vu de toutes les qualités réunies dans ce petit E.P. : bien que taillées dans un post-rock assez lent à tendances doom metal, c'est d'une légèreté exceptionnelle !
