⋘Urtek is a deathgrind grind band that started around February. Motivated by pot, beer, hate, ragin', and work. Urtek is packed full of nonstop fast-paced aggression and slow sludge-fused chaos. We are here to rage, play shows, and have a good time..... tacos rule. LOL!

"The Dark Net" is a track which comes from URTEK's second release, an EP by the name of "WE HATE" (released February 2, 2013).

Being influenced by and having shared the stage with acts like The Drip, Noise Offender, The Festering, Odyssey, ZAN, Age of Nefilim, All Gussied Up (offical), Stress, Rutah, Doom Lit Sky, Shrieks of the Impaled, FAUS, HoneyBadger, CZAR, the band being presented here exhibits characteristics similar to the aforementioned artists. URTEK plays a combination of death metal, experimental/progressive metal, grindcore, hardcore, thrash, and more. It makes for a VERY interesting and brutal sound.

Again, this is another band to keep a close watch on, for they have potential out the ass to fuck up all the poser bands out there!! Better yet, according to their statements, labels aren't important to them; this group is 100% DIY, old school style. Gotta respect that!⋙

URTEK is a quartet from Spokane, WA that fromed as a two piece with Matt Grooms and Devon Jensen Valentines Day 2012. Within a year since then, URTEK has recorded their first EP "NORTHWASTED" in August of 2012 and second EP "We Hate' In December of 2012. With a loss of their first vocalist Aga Guseynov due to personal demons, a gain of their bassist Zane Emmet and new vocalist Zach Walker opened up a whole new door for their music and rage potential. WE ARE HERE FORE GOOD AND WILL RAGE TIL THE BEER RUNS DRY AND THE GREENS TURN BLACK. Stay NORTHWASTED friends!

Truthseeker sert-il à Brendan James Hayter et Alex Fewell, deux artistes versés dans le death metal, d'excursion éphémère hors du sentier ? Je pose cette question parce que ce projet n'a eu le droit qu'à deux sorties : Weightless at Dawn que nous avons ici et Blue Oblivion sorti la même année — et depuis, rien. C'est bien dommage au vu de toutes les qualités réunies dans ce petit E.P. : bien que taillées dans un post-rock assez lent à tendances doom metal, c'est d'une légèreté exceptionnelle !
