about

⋘"Working Class Crusade" is taken from Dr Doom's debut full length album, "Everyone Is Guilty" (Hammerheart Records; 2012), released in April of this year. Additional vocals on this track are by none other than the infamous grinder RICHARD JOHNSON (of Enemy Soil, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Drugs Of Faith, etc. fame).⋙

◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ BAND BIOGRAPHY & INFORMATION ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

Dr Doom is a Dutch grindcore/death metal act that was first formed in 2007 by current & former members of Atrocity, Herder, Dodechadron, Exivious and Aborted. Initially, the band signed onto Crash Landing Records for the release of their self-titled EP, released approximately four to five months after the band came together.

The following year, in 2008, as Dr Doom continued to evolve & progress their brutal sound, they released a split record under Scrotum Jus Records, the other "side" of the project being the band Collision. The spit included five Dr Doom tracks & six songs by Collision; it received a great many positive reviews for both acts.

What came next was a short hiatus, as the members needed to take some time off after a very busy first three years of recording & touring. Soon after, however, they got back together and decided to move forward with the development of their first full length album.

"Everyone Is Guilty" was recorded, mixed and mastered at various locations between 2009 and 2011, thus truly making it a "work in progress" over a long period of time. The bulk of the recording and mastering was completed in 2009 by the band's bassist JB van der Wal @ Zwaagwest Supersound and Hewweutover studios.

The official album credits also include the following:

Additional vocals on "A Certain Special Hatred", "Working Class Crusade", and "Prophesied Disaster" by Richard Johnson; vocals recorded by Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed) at Visceral Sound, Bethesda, Maryland, USA, Summer 2011.

Additional guitar solo on "Pilloried En Public" by Michiel Dekker. The album was mixed in 2011 by JB van der Wal and Michel Nienhuis.

"Everyone Is Guilty" is an epic death/grind album with a distinct sound that can only be labeled Dutch in its origin and execution. It is both a political and personal record, touching on a broad range of subjects forcefully and truthfully. Although it is a bit difficult to find a distributor in the U.S. who carries it - "Bilegrinder" of Sociopathic Sound managed to get the last copy Amazon.com carried at the time of purchase, though U.S. fans should certainly look there first for the best deal and easiest place to locate it - any fan of this style of music NEEDS to own this album because Dr Doom is a band that has nowhere to go but upwards. You can rest assured "Everyone Is Guilty" will end up on at least several "Best of 2012" lists for Sociopathic Sound!

Dr Doom has toured with bands such as Cephalic Carnage, Regurgitate, Phoenix Bodies, Brutal Truth, Fuck The Facts, Antigama, Unearthly Trance, Knut, General Surgery, Cursed and so many more.

They've also played festivals like Obscene Extreme, ZXZW, Neurotic Deathfest, Trashfest and other smaller ones. Look for the band to continue touring and hopefully one day they'll make it over to the states for a full headlining tour.

lyrics

Death is all about this life
Guilty of deceit
To this society
Punishment is here
Working, dying
Choices restrained
Living, lying
Loveless and stained
I am about to die
Just for my own peace of mind

Humanity's slaughterhall
The working class crusade
Bury me breathing
A smothered organized scream
Concrete parking lots ensure decades of decay
Mankind's deathtrap
It's the working class crusade

Silence, concrete pavements
Rapture, daytime jobs
Decay
Tired eyes
Loveless
Satiated lives
Living is dying
Sleeping is dying
Eating is dying
Dreaming is dying
Working is dying
Walking is dying
Talking is dying
Reading is dying
Suckers keep trying...
