The Sociopathic Sound team is pleased to bring you the first volume of our new series of mixtapes! Even though our initial intention was to compile between 20 and 25 songs by a multitude of phenomenal extreme metal bands, ranging from ones you have certainly never heard of to some which are "household" names within the community, the response by both fans and bands alike was so overwhelmingly positive that we decided to make Volume 1 a special treat.

Thus, included in this digital-only mixtape you will find an incredible FIFTY artists representing a number of different styles of metal; grindcore & death metal are predominant, yet you will find bits of black metal, hardcore, powerviolence, tech death, progressive metal, and even one instrumental track at the dead center (to offer you a short break from the insane screaming of every vocalist found herein).

Depending on how the next thirty days go, we will determine whether releasing new volumes will occur once every month or once every two months; our release schedule is strongly based on the type of response we garner from Vol. 1, so spread the word to your friends, family, co-workers, extended relatives, and pets! Make sure to also share this Bandcamp link on your personal Facebook pages, on every metal forum you frequent, talk about it on Twitter, play it over the P.A. system at your local school or blast it from the ghetto computer speakers you have at work! Moreover, to make the project even more impressive, we are honored that a number of the bands have submitted completely new, never before heard tracks which will appear on their forthcoming albums (due out at various times later in 2012).
