⋘"Fuck You In Morse Code" is one of sixteen amazing songs found on BOXCUTTER FACELIFT's first official full length album; released on July 3, 2012 it goes by the hilariously fucking awesome name "BEARLY MUSIC" (check out the cover artwork in order to understand why this is so funny). Clearly, this Fitchburg, Massachusetts based grindcore/death metal/experimental 3-piece outfit is all about writing great tunes with a sense of humor and fun, as opposed to necessarily focusing on more political or sociological topics.

By no means is this a formal announcement, nor should it be considered an official statement by either Sociopathic Sound Records or Boxcutter Facelift as to future considerations...however, we here at SSR are extremely stoked about discussions occurring between our label and the band.

To be more specific: Mike (Sociopathic Sound Records) & Jesse (Boxcutter Facelift) have shared correspondence - first about utilizing one of the band's tracks off of "Bearly Music" for inclusion on either Volume 4 or Volume 5 of the compilation series; after an agreement about that had been reached, we began throwing around ideas involving potential collaborations such as split EPs with other bands and/or future Boxcutter Facelift EPs/LPs.

As of July 1, there hasn't been any type of paperwork signed and thus nothing is official, which is why it's being included on the band profile page here as opposed to our Facebook, Twitter, ReverbNation, or other social media posts. From our end (SSR), there is so much to be done while establishing the label that our collective resources have been spread very thin, therefore progress is being made - only slowly, which is not a bad thing, it simply means we're paying attention to every minute detail, ensuring everything is set into place & motion carefully, without error or overlooking essential elements.

All that said, things are picking up pace a bit more now, and one of the key goals is to continue talks with Jesse, as well as the other members of Boxcutter Facelift; this is a band we feel quite strongly about, and would absolutely love to sign in an official capacity if it's possible for us to do so. On behalf of the entire team behind our start-up label, I'd like to thank Jesse for allowing us to choose a song we felt best represented the band while also being most appropriate & fitting to this particular edition of our mixtape series. ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ BAND BIOGRAPHY & INFORMATION ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

Boxcutter Facelift formed in 2004 when Chad, Dave, and Jesse got together and decided to write some brutal deathgrind; over the years, the three musicians gained experience as well as somewhat of a cult following around their homestate - mostly Fitchburg, Worcester, Boston, and other cities within that vicinity.

Although the band has remained largely obscure outside of the New England area (on their Facebook profile they claim to be "metal hermits"), these guys have played shows with a great many well known bands such as Rotten Sound, Hivesmasher, Nails, Early Graves, Drive-By Bukkake, Phantom Glue, and tons of others.

While "Bearly Music" was the group's first official full length album, they've actually written a whole lot of other music throughout their career. Most people have never heard these "demo" tracks, as the band deems them, but it doesn't mean they don't exist and it certainly doesn't mean the never-released material doesn't fucking kick major ass! The two older full lengths/demos are:

"Corpse Fucking Gentlemen" (2009) - includes eleven tracks of pure grind genius! Visit the band's REVERB NATION page (link is available in the appropriate section below), where the downloadable "All Songs" playlist is made up of this album.

"Moustachity" (2011) - features eighteen tracks, names being reminiscent of something you'd see on an ANAL CUNT album; here are a few choice examples....

"Bring Me A Fucking Plague"

...you get the idea; regardless of the hilarious track titles, it's the music that matters and everything these guys have written/recorded is phenomenal death/grind!

Most recently the band put out a new 9-track EP by the title "Vol. 1 - Pity Fuck", which they officially made available during a show on February 24, 2013 in Keene, New Hampshire. According to reports from the trio, "We wrote and recorded these 9 songs in one night to have it sound like the DIY grind/powerviolence bands that started us on this dirty road. Then we mixed/mastered it and Hellbent AD. provided the sick artwork." Only a total of 25 copies of the EP were made, with 21 being publicly offered (the other four were kept by the band).

As of July 2013, Boxcutter Facelift is working on new material for both a split 7" album, as well as another EP, which they plan on calling "Vol. 2" (they'll likely add some type of funny name after that, though for the time being reports indicate just the Vol. 2 moniker). Sociopathic Sound Records hopes to have a hand in one or both of these releases, so make sure you check for updates on FB and Twitter to see what happens!
