Corrupt Moral Altar - Politics Is A Bargain Between Beggars

from Sociopathic Mixtape, Vol. 5 by Various Artists

/

about

⋘CORRUPT MORAL ALTAR has made this particular song available through at least two different releases; the first version (and the one you're listening to now) comes off of "Luciferian Deathcult", a 7-track EP released via Baitin' The Trap Records on February 16, 2013.

The song was later re-recorded & polished up for release on the "Whiskey Sierra" 7" vinyl EP, which contains four songs in total, put out via Dead Chemist Records on July 8, 2013. In my personal opinion, the original version of the song sounds more raw and "live" than the newer one, which is why we've included that one here for your listening pleasure. Of course, links to both label Bandcamp sites are offered below so you can all decide for yourselves! ⋙

◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ BAND BIOGRAPHY & INFORMATION ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

Corrupt Moral Altar Formed in the Liverpool area in 2012 as an excuse to get wrecked and play filthy sludge grind, with cider as the main glue that bonded the members and riffs together. Reese (vocals) describes the tracks from Luciferian Deathcult as being about modern life, alcohol-fuelled regret, desperation and denial against a backdrop of a flawed and hopeless society.

CxMxA propaganda:

" Its the consistent density of zeal and the dynamic they extrapolate from it to which a listener becomes bound to, their own aggressions and frustrations uniting with Corrupt Moral Altars emotional contractions, a fascination drawn like a moth to the flame."

"Luciferian Deathcult is positively rank, browbeating is poor listener into an absolute pulp."

Iron Fist magazine

"This EP represents a best of British celebration of the nastier side of life... It's 18 minutes of hangovers, shit jobs, no jobs and despair."

Metal Hammer magazine

"Relentlessly fast, but also snarky and groovy, CMA are certainly Liverpool's most exciting grind export for many a year."

Terrorizer magazine

"Cvlt Nation compared this record in some ways to Superjoint Ritual, while there are also similarities with His Hero is Gone, the aforementioned Converge, and Clinging to the Trees of a Forest Fire; while it is very obviously rooted in a crossover between sludge and grind, CMA are already taking that template in exciting new directions."

nightside242.livejournal.com/10721.html

" What may appear to be grindcore-centric, filthy madness from the outset conceals a brooding sense of something magically punk-rock at the heart of everything that Corrupt Moral Altar do."

"Corrupt Moral Altar’s Luciferian Deathcult is a master-work of extremity. These men like their music as loud as possible and for those looking for an experience that’ll rearrange their innards, you’ll be hard pressed to find one as expertly executed as this. 8/ 10"

"I mean seriously, this is really sick, fucked up and disgusting music."

www.cvltnation.com/luciferian-deathcult-corrupt-moral-altar-review-stream/

"if they keep releasing stuff as strong as this, i surmise that it's only a matter of time before they inevitably claim their place amongst the UK's rising grind talent."

www.rawnervezine.co.uk/music-reviews/corrupt-moral-altar-luciferian-deathcult

"A truly head spinning, mind fucking and original debut for a band that seems to have no limit to their creativity, and one that deserves to put them and their label well and truly on the map, here and everywhere else."

tighttothenail.com/review-corrupt-moral-altar-luciferian-deathcult/

"Unbelievable fast drumming, venomous riffs and angst ridden angry vocals intent on harm, it’s all here! Yet when CMA decide to slow the pace, and I mean SLOW…the massive chugging riffs and almost Drone like Sludge drawl is just breath taking. 10/ 10"

destructive-music.com?p=5650

"Its completely unrestrained, much like the fabled big bad wolf, except these guys won’t just blow your house down, they’ll downright dismember as well."

wemustobey.wordpress.com/2013/01/14/corrupt-moral-altar-luciferian-deathcult-ep/

"It's seven tracks of noisy, punk ridden grind that doesn't stick to any formula."

thisnoiseisours.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/corruptxmoralxaltar-luciferian-deathcult.html?m=1

"This is an all out mutilation of your senses. It is vicious and crushing, the audio equivalent of the Saw nail helmet"

lyrics

Lost in a perfect moment. maybe I will maybe I wont
Forced to work by the government. Maybe I will maybe I wont.

Morbid fears, unspeakable longings.
Cancer music, lucifarian deathcult.
Morbid fears, unspeakable longings.
Cancer music, lucifarian deathcult.

Lost in a perfect moment. maybe I will maybe I wont
Forced to work by the government. Maybe I will maybe I wont.

Morbid fears.

I got fucking wrecked last night

All over the shop.

I got wrecked
Late last night
I got wrecked
Late last night
I got wrecked
Late last night
I got wrecked
Late last night

Lost in a perfect moment. maybe I will maybe I wont
Forced to work by the government. Maybe I will maybe I wont.
