Sociopathic Sound Records, in association with DISSECTED RECORDS, is proud to announce the first signing by the label! PURIFY THE HORROR are a three-piece grindcore act based out of the U.K.; each one of them is considered a longtime veteran of the underground/extreme music scene – there’s no doubt these guys know how to play fast, aggressive, brutal, and some have even gone so far as to describe it “horrifying” grind mixed with bits of death metal, gore(grind), crust, and occasionally a few other styles can be heard. Collectively, the members of PURIFY THE HORROR have either been in or are still currently a part of the following bands:

Binah, Towers Of Flesh, Necrotize, The Solemn Curse, Funeral Throne, Throes, Theoktony, Tomorrow Come The Wolves, Labyrinth, and others. And, according to the popular metal website/blog/news site PURE GRAIN AUDIO. “Purify The Horror’s self-titled debut EP is a seventeen minute long celebration of sensory depravity propounded by a vile concoction of filthy riffage, blast-beats, and a dual vocal attack. They are planning a short run of lives shows to help promote the EP so stay tuned for more from these three “pigs.”

The band is jointly releasing their debut recording, a 12-track / 17-minute short player through SOCIOPATHIC SOUND RECORDS & DISSECTED RECORDS on July 30, 2013. The initial formatting availability will be strictly digital (no physical media to accompany the downloadable first edition), with plans to have it offered on each of the label’s respective BANDCAMP pages on Tuesday the 30th of July. While the lack of CD, cassette, or vinyl for the “Untitled EP” may confuse some and frustrate or anger others, the band has made it common knowledge their goal for this debut effort is gaining a larger audience, reaching out to a fan base outside the range of their “normal” territory in the United Kingdom. Formally teaming up with Sociopathic Sound Records was the right decision because as the plan goes SSR will handle North American orders while Dissected Records shall focus on Europe and Asia – guess the “rest of the world” is up for grabs!
