about

⋘"Black As Your Light" can be found on INSAIN's debut full length "Spiritual Rebirth", released via Kaotoxin Records on February 26, 2012. Do note, however, that the album was INITIALLY self-recorded & self-released by the band in 2010; Kaotoxin picked it up for a re-issue on the label after signing the band. Release notes/description on Kaotoxin's Bandcamp speak of the album as such:

"Rare are the bands able to come with an album that's both brutal and catchy, technical and memorable, full of speed yet with atmosphere, displaying this level of musicianship yet able to captivate the listener from start to finish, And even more rare are the bands able to do this with their very first album. The album's "Spiritual Rebirth", the band's INSAIN.

Always intense, from start to finish, the album’s mixing catchy melodies from time to time with upper class technical parts that are never meant to be only somekind of musical show off, INSAIN is the kind of band that has a real talent for song-writing and each listen will bring something fresh to the listener’s attention. The first listen is like being rolled over by a train at full-speed while each further release will start to attract the listener’s attention with small yet brilliant technical details, melodic hooks, memorable choruses even with such intricate song structures and violent, yet controlled, playing. ALREADY A MUST!"⋙

◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ BAND BIOGRAPHY & INFORMATION ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

INSAIN started in Paris, France, back in 2008, year during which they released their debut demo, "Corpse before Death". The band is all about mixing influences to create their very own brand of Brutal Death Metal, adding to an early 90's Death Metal worship a strong modern Brutal Death Metal intensity, mixing US and Polish influences the fast, brutal and deadly way.

The debut album, "Spiritual Rebirth", was mixed and mastered at the Hertz studio in Poland by Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawski (Vader, Decapitated, Hate, Hour Of Penance...) in 2010 and then self-released the very same year with artwork and layout by Michal "Xaay" Loranc (Behemoth, Nile...).

Featuring eleven tracks for a total running time of 37+ minutes, "Spiritual Rebirth" is a merciless brutal and twisted beast hammering the eardrum until it bleeds, showing the band's impressive songwriting talent, mixing up-to-date blasting utter brutality with catchy melodies everyone will get stuck to like a fly in some gargantuous spider's web and lightning fast thrashy riffs that'd leave the listener no rest until his neck's properly broken.

With such a brilliant release under their belts, INSAIN immediately started relentlessly touring France from bottom to top and vice-versa and eventually got noticed by the Mountains Of Death (one of Europe's largest and most respected Death Metal open airs) which asked them to play the fest in 2011.

Unfortunately, late 2011, Sangli, their drummer, had a very bad car crash and is now trying to recover since and for months, letting INSAIN with no other decision than to stop all live activities until a decent session drummer is found. The band is now writing the second full-length.
