⋘"Jacknife" is one of nine tracks found on the final release by Canadian band THE TRUCKERS, who originally formed in 2004 (in Montreal, Quebec) and ultimately disbanded towards the end of 2012. It's an unfortunate thing, considering such great strides these musicians took as not only individuals but as a collective unit, aurally assaulting the hell out of listeners. The crossover metal band The Truckers go 100% independent and releases their sophomore album, “Goliath”. Featuring an out of the box and surprisingly coherent mash-up of progressive metalcore, mathcore, melodic grindcore and whatnot, the LP was recorded in 2010 at Ondechoc Studio in Rimouski, QC with Pierre-Luc Demers (Vortex, Astral Gates), mixed by well known sound engineer Yannick St-Amand (Despised Icon, Ion Dissonance, Martyr, Neuraxis) who also worked on the group’s debut album, and masterised by Eric Arbour at Orange Numérik Studio.

The six-piece band born in Rimouski, QC in 2004 is stoked to have immortalize the most aggressive, heavy, pounding and eclectic material of it’s history. It’s been a long road since the release of the debut album “Get Rich or Drive Trying” (Galy Records, 2007), and with two new members on board (respectively on bass and drums), it’s also been an epic and groundbreaking writing process. With their new bastard baby and its psychedelic/decadent digipack in hand, the six members are extremely proud of the work that has been done, the nine songs in French and English that take place in “Goliath” are all killer, no filler. The Truckers promise a monolithic and refreshing music album, who will certainly amaze. Enjoy the ride!
