Fuck The Facts - Lifeless (Dexter Mix) (Previously Unreleased)

from Sociopathic Mixtape, Vol. 2 by Various Artists

/

about

~The original version of "Lifeless" comes from Fuck The Facts' most recent full length album "Die Miserable", released under Relapse Records in late 2011. This particular version, which has never been heard before, was OK'd by Topon Dos himself to be included on this mixtape. Sociopathic Sound helped to merge the awesomeness of Showtime's hit series DEXTER and the relentless brutality of Fuck The Facts' music. You won't find this version ANYWHERE else!~

***Biography***

Based in Quebec, Canada, experimental grindcore outfit F**k the Facts was originally conceived in 1997 as a nameless studio project by guitarist/vocalist Topon Das; but it would take several tape releases and three years before he issued the first official CD, Discoing the Dead, under the band's eventual, provocative name. 2001 saw the emission of a second LP, entitled Mullet Fever, by a new lineup featuring Das, guitarist Tim Audette, drummer Matt Connell, and vocalist Brent Christoff, but the latter was soon replaced by vocalist Mel Mongeon, whose fearsome vocal eruptions have been a F**k the Facts trademark ever since 2002's Backstabber Etiquette. So too has been the band's habit of constantly swapping drummers and second guitarists, while sporadically touring in both Canada and the U.S., and releasing literally dozens of split tapes and EPs on a yearly basis. In fact, these were so predominant on the band's priority list, it wasn't until 2006 that another proper LP, named Stigmata High-Five, was made available through Relapse Records.

***Alternate Bio & Additional Info***

A recording project was constructed by Topon Das in 1997, two years later he gave this project a name, Fuck the Facts. After many early recordings including split tapes with S.M.E.S. and Mastectomia, FTF started developing a name in the underground with grind and noise fans worldwide. In 2000 the first full length CD "Discoing the Dead" was recorded. The positive feedback led to Topon assembling a full band to continue with the project later in 2001.

"Bastardised Grindcore" is a genre description coined by this band to self-describe their sound.

Ex-Bassist Steve Chartier also runs a Record/Distro Label called Capital Kill Records. Capital Kill co-release the "Legacy of Hoplessness" EP in 2005.

Since joining the band, vocalist Mel Mongeon does all of the artwork for Fuck the Facts.

Johnny Ibay started out as a touring member in 2008, but became a full member near the end of September 2010.

Other touring members include:
Travis Tomchuk (touring vocalist: May 2006)
Jean-Louis Wittinger (touring guitarist: Sept - Dec 2006)
Leigh Newton (touring guitarist: Jan - March 2008)

Additional Discography:
