⋘Grindcore from Äänekoski, Finland formed in 2010 by members of Gian; Lassi Pollari (lead vocals & guitars), Konsta Vehkala (drums) and Henri Rahm (bass & vocals) as some sort of therapy project. The plan was to make grindcore with obvious influences from Rotten Sound, Nasum and Napalm Death

"Hair-on-fire vocals, gun-blast drums, and rancid, down-tuned guitar-grinders inflict the Slash Dementia musical violence in a nasty mix of punk and death-grind."

Slash Dementia was formed by Lassi, Konsta and Hene during the hot summer of 2010 after several attemps to play downtuned hardcore punk. We ended up playing grindcore and soon we did our first recording "Symptoms Are..." EP. Soon after the release Otto joined the band as the second guitarist.

In the end of 2010 Slash Dementia did a short preview single "Zombie Politics" for their upcoming full-length album. During that time the first gig was also played. The debut full-length, entitled as "Race Against The Machine" was released in spring 2011 and gained a bit of nice response all over the place. The album was released in internet by Torn Flesh Records as well. More gigs, more broken bones, more new songs was the next step......

As it seemed to be a little tradition to record something on Christmas, Slash Dementia locked up in their rehearsal hellhole and recorded a brand new EP during the Christmas 2011. "Wheels of Babylon" EP was released on the first day of 2012.

The story continues on the similar path, new songs, more gigs etc. After several gigs and writing new material the band had another 10 songs ready to be recorded. This time it was supposed to record songs for two split releases with Zombie Raiders and Agamenon Project. The songs showed a bit more varied side of the band as some catchy rock influences can be heared from the new material. The new songs were released as a 10 song pack called "Split Sessions 2012" for free, like all the previous stuff as well.

Now the band is aiming to play as many gigs as possible and start writing their second full-length album.
