⋘The song "Zephyr" acts as the closer to PREVENGE's debut short player (EP), entitled "Rorschach" and released via Bandcamp in December 2012. If the music contained on the EP is any indication of the direction Prevenge plans on taking with their full length, there's not one doubt in my mind they'll become a force to be reckoned with very quickly.

These guys are certainly another band to keep an eye on, despite their near total lack of social media presence. Progressive metal can sound amazing when done right and like the worst shit in the world when done wrong; Prevenge are masters at their trade!! Can't wait to hear what comes next for this talented group of musicians.⋙

Prevenge is a progressive metal band hailing from Long Island, New York. Formed in 2009, the quartet plays an eclectic blend of styles ranging from post metal to mathcore to post rock, transitioning from these styles almost at random. The “Rorschach EP” is set for a Christmas 2012 release— their full length album “Pareidolia” is slated for a early to mid 2013 deadline.

"We have no direction. we have no goal. we have no specific style. if we all decide we want to write a death metal song one day, a death metal song might happen... if we want to become post-progressive industrial folk-mathcore, well that could happen too. we don't have a sound to stick with, and we don't want one."

Truthseeker sert-il à Brendan James Hayter et Alex Fewell, deux artistes versés dans le death metal, d'excursion éphémère hors du sentier ? Je pose cette question parce que ce projet n'a eu le droit qu'à deux sorties : Weightless at Dawn que nous avons ici et Blue Oblivion sorti la même année — et depuis, rien. C'est bien dommage au vu de toutes les qualités réunies dans ce petit E.P. : bien que taillées dans un post-rock assez lent à tendances doom metal, c'est d'une légèreté exceptionnelle !
